Pubble Wrap was conceived by Nichols De Luca, the Founder of Little Feet Packaging. An MIT mechanical engineer specializing in packaging, he started his career in a few legacy packaging companies, Novus Packaging and Sealed Air Corp.

But as his family grew (to 5 kids) he was increasingly disturbed by how much plastic was going into the environment and what that might do to his kids, especially his newest (thus “Little Feet Packaging”). His brilliant idea was to use recycled paper shaped into domes to make an eco-friendly yet sturdy alternative to plastic bubble cushioning.

After many years of investigation, research, head scratching, and many late nights, he invented the Pubble Dome Technology and the machines that use it to make Pubble! The US Patent Office has awarded numerous patents to the company on those inventions.

The company was founded in 2021 and the first Pubble Wrap was shipped a few months later. As of mid-2024 we have shipped over 1000 miles of Pubble Wrap and saved our precious environment from that much additional plastic. With 240,000 miles of bubble wrap produced each year, we have a long way to go!

Pubble is made entirely from recycled paper and a starch-based adhesive. No refined petroleum, no harsh polluting chemical processes, no nasty waste products. We are proud to be an extremely green company.
